good building blocks for successful formulation.
The technically important epoxy resins are
condensation product made from polyphenols and
epichlorodine. Liquid, semisolid or solid resins are
produced according to the type of the reaction or
the mixing ratio of the raw materials Reaction with
suitable hardeners produce thermo set polymers.
Solid epoxy resins may also be supplied as solutions
in organic solvents if desired.
The raw materials mainly used in the adhesive
industry are unmodified and modified low molecular
wt. Liquid epoxy resins. Reactive diluents are added
to adjust to a suitable viscosity. |
